To make the most of your time with Lauren, a little preparation goes a long way. Gather these items before your appointment.
Photo ID (insurance cards optional — we are a direct-pay practice)

Do you accept insurance?
Visit fees are direct-pay — we don't bill insurance for appointments, which is what lets us spend more time with you and design care around your health rather than coverage limits. Your insurance does still apply to lab work, blood work, screenings, and prescriptions, which are billed directly to your plan separately from your visit. We accept all major credit cards, and FSA and HSA cards are welcome.
How much does a new patient visit cost?
New patient visits range from $25 for a peptide consult to $325 for hormone optimization or fertility care. An annual wellness exam is $265, and weight loss or focused problem visits are $175. See the pricing page for the full list by service type.
How do I know which appointment to book?

Do I need to live nearby to be seen?
No. Empower Women's Health is telehealth-first — Lauren sees patients throughout Florida, New York, North Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia by secure video visit. You simply need to be physically located in one of those states at the time of your appointment.
What can I expect at my first visit?
Your first visit is a deep dive. Lauren reviews your full history, discusses your symptoms and goals, and orders any relevant lab work. You'll leave with a personalized care plan — not a list of follow-up appointments with no direction.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Bring a photo ID, a list of current medications and supplements with dosages, any prior lab results or medical records, notes about your symptoms and health goals, and your FSA/HSA or credit card for payment.
Is there paperwork to complete before my visit?
Yes — after booking, you'll receive a secure intake form through the patient portal. Completing it before your visit helps Lauren make the most of your time together.
How long until I receive lab results?
Most lab results return within 3–7 business days. Lauren reviews results personally and communicates findings through your secure patient portal.
