Virginia Telehealth FAQ

Common questions from Virginia patients.

Can I book telehealth from anywhere in Virginia?

Absolutely. Lauren is licensed to practice throughout Virginia and sees telehealth patients from every corner of the state — from Northern Virginia to Hampton Roads to Southwest VA. Distance is never a barrier.

Can Lauren order lab work in Virginia?

Yes. Lauren can order labs through major reference labs (LabCorp, Quest, or local draw sites) in Virginia. You'll receive a lab order you can take to a convenient location near you.

Do I need a Virginia-based primary care provider before seeing Lauren?

No referral is needed. You can book directly as a new patient. Lauren can collaborate with your existing PCP if desired, but it's not a requirement.

I'm an established patient — does anything change for me?

No. Established patients continue their care with Lauren via telehealth, with the same records, same provider, and same approach. Nothing about your treatment plan changes.

What technology do I need for a telehealth visit?

Just a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera and microphone. Visits are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. You'll receive a link before your appointment — no downloads required.

Is telehealth as effective as in-person care for hormone and wellness issues?

For the vast majority of what Lauren treats — hormones, PCOS, weight management, fertility counseling, and wellness — telehealth is just as effective. Lab orders, prescriptions, and care plans are all handled the same way.

Do you accept insurance for telehealth visits?

We are a direct-pay practice. We don't bill insurance, which allows Lauren to spend more time with you and design care based on your health — not coverage limits. FSA and HSA cards are accepted.

Can Lauren prescribe medications via telehealth?

Yes. Lauren can prescribe medications, including hormones and other treatments, via telehealth in every state she is licensed in — Florida, New York, North Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia.

How do I book a telehealth appointment?
